CAMEL SMOKING STAND

This is a hand carved camel smoking stand with compartments on each side for Camel Cigarettes, a match box holder on top and a place for an ash tray. We think this guy dates to the 1930s or 40s. I wonder what the maker's connection to Camel Cigarettes was, just a smoker who loved the brand, an artist making a statement or a stockholder in the company? It is approximately 10 inches long, 7.25 inches wide and about 3.75 inches deep.
