The Perfect Pointer item # 1728
This all wood pointer used a file to sharpen the pencil point to perfection. The pencil was held in place and would turn as the round handle was slid back and forth across the file. One still had to use his pen knife to shave the wood off the lead before using the Perfect Pointer. In was made in or around 1890 by Boodell Company of Anirim, New Hampshire. Much of the detailed instructions are still visible on the bottom of the base. The condition rating is 2,2.
