Black Memorabilia had become increasingly popular during the last decade or so. It seems several black celebrities and professional athletes have amassed impressive collections and perhaps have started a trend.


Man Holding Horse Framed Print 3PPP101

This framed print dates back to the early 1930s. It hung for many years in a Kansas City BBQ restaurant. The newspaper backing is from 1932. The print features a black gentleman in a beaver stovetop hat holding a horse. The sign on the building identifies it as being the Green River Inn and the large whiskey stoneware jug tied to the saddle horn is labeled Green River Whiskey. The title on the bottom of the print is "She is was bred in old Kentucky". The frame is 15 inches wide and 12 inches high.

DANCING MAN item# 5PAT 102

This one does appear to be fully hand made. The rod is held with a rubber band and one can move it to make the man dance. We think it is from the 1930s or 40s. It is 17.5 inches long, he stands about 10 inches tall and it is about 6 inches deep.
