This is a 1912 (we found a date on it) sock box. It is beautifully decorated and burned in design and is inscribed "My wife knows! Shoes solved my toubles for heels and toes". Apparently, this was made by a wife as a gift for her husband to hold his socks. The approximate deminisions are: 14.5 inches long, 4.75 inches deep and 1.5 inches high.

LADY GOLFER HANKY BOX

The burned-in image has worn over the years and is difficult to see (or to photo). It is that of a lady golfer and appears on the outside and the inside of the box. This was a hankerchief box with a pull out drawer. It is approximnately 8.75 inches long, 4.5 inches deep and 1.625 inches high. We believe it dates to the 1920s or early 1930s.
