Door Stops, All Cast Iron and all Antique or Vintage
Made of metal and all die cast.
Pleasant memories of the past.
Golfers, dogs, flowers and more.
Recollections of American folk lore.
Popular in USA from 1890 to 1920,
When interest then was plenty.
In 1780 England it all started,
Called "door porters", then they departed.
Often they sport bright paint,
And are always quite quaint.
They weigh 3 pounds or more,
And are at least 6 inches tall.
Prices can range from under $50 for a common one to more than $500 for the only one.
